MACEA DONATES TO PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE

Extending a hand of assistance to our fellow human is an instinct that is naturally hardwired in our system. That is the reason why, as humans, we are driven to help others, regardless of the amount. Sometimes, that last morsel to sustain oneself is also given away to the more unfortunate people because of the desire to help.

Last December 2021, Makati Central Estate Association (MACEA) initiated another humanitarian act towards the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the form of donation of various equipment such as rechargeable search light, mega phone, helmet, external hard drive and computer printer. These equipment will be needed in the preparation of the Makati PNP for the upcoming National and Local Elections in 2022.

Also, this is one way of showing appreciation to the Makati PNP as they are a part of maintaining the security, peace and order in the CBD.

The said activity met its main objective which is to help and support the mission of the Philippine Red Cross.

THE GIFT OF GIVING: MACEA visits Chosen Children Village

Having the opportunity to share love to a stranger is an innate obligation of humans. It is even more special if a child or an elderly were to receive love from someone who is not a blood relative. After all, love revolves around helping each other.

Last October 29, 2021, MACEA gave gifts to the children of Chosen Children Village Foundation, Inc. located at Silang Cavite.

The village is a home to abandoned children who are physically and mentally challenged. Despite this, the foundation aims to provide a permanent home for these children and help them to ultimately become independent and be able to attain a more meaningful, productive and satisfying way of life.

In conclusion, being able to bring joy to these wonderful children was enough reason for MACEA to continue their humanitarian projects.

LEGAZPI UNDERPASS PRESENTS COEXISTENCE

Art is always relevant. So, is nature. If the two are combined, the end result is magical. That is why this combination should be displayed in places where most people are stressed with everyday triggers. It will be a fresh sight and can act as a reset for city dwellers.

This is exactly what the Legazpi Underpass Mural is all about. Aside from giving the citizens an easier and safe passage, they will also be welcomed by a magnificent mural upon entering the underpass.

Headed by Jonathan David (MACEA General Manager), Chrissy Roa (Head of Marketing and Communication, Ayala Land Estates), Sheilla Aguilar (Project Development Head for Makati, Ayala Land Estates) and lead artists Janica Rina and Jerson Samson, Legazpi Underpass has finally launched.

The mural, created by artists Janica Rina and Jerson Samson, assisted by Pogs Samson, Eunice Vergara, Hayme, Vincent Zulaybar and Janice Samson, tells a story about Coexistence. It shows the harmonious environment between humans and nature, reminding us to value our very own flora and fauna while we still can.

Also, this is perfect to symbolize Makati because it is a place where diversity meet. This variety of people and nature contributes to the vibrance of the city and makes coexistence possible.

Another key point to remember is that the Legazpi underpass connects the urban oasis of the city which is the Ayala Triangle Gardens and Ayala Center. The developments at Makati involving a safer and enhanced walking experience of the pedestrians through a network of underpasses and walkways has been one of the many goals of the city.

Upon completion, the network, which will be divided into ducts with one duct assigned for the exclusive use of one company, will run through 25.1 kilometers within the area under the jurisdiction of MACEA.
